Tekken: Dark Resurrection     Tekken: Dark Resurrection

The Tekken series has spanned arcades and consoles over many years, often raising the bar for what a fighting game should be. Tekken: Dark Resurrection continues with that tradition and offers new characters, fighting moves, and extras.

Character graphics demonstrate model detail, smooth animation, and great textures. The soundtrack and effects are equally impressive, and best experienced with headphones. Controls are superior to many other fighting games, although some combos are impossible without extensive practice with the PSP's directional buttons.

Play options include Practice, Quick Battle, Arcade, Attack, Dojo, and Network WiFi for two players. While there is no online multi-player, "Ghosts" are available online and downloaded through the Network option. "Ghosts" change opponent AI by simulating real players, and make single-player battles significantly more interesting.

Excellent presentation and a myriad of additional options give Tekken: Dark Resurrection serious replay value. There are several other solid PSP fighting titles, but aficionados of the fighting genre will find this the game to own.

Average     Test Drive Unlimited
Massive driving environments, exploration, and nice graphics make up for the difficult and uninteresting racing elements. The car handling also leaves something to be desired.
Average     Tiger Woods PGA Tour
Golf fans will love this game, even with the frustrating load times and the inexact analog control. The presentation is generally impressive with a few texture problems.
Not Recommended     TMNT
This is a non-roaming, fixed-path platformer with elementary battles thrown in. The graphics and character animations are sometimes fun to watch, although they are too flashy for the simplistic play and weak audio. Those expecting anything similar to Turtles fighting games from past decades will be highly disappointed.
Disappointing     Tomb Raider: Legend
The alluring graphics and audio are diminished by camera problems, lagging frame-rates, and sluggish control response. For those that can suffer through the technical issues, it offers impressive gaming environments, exploration, and puzzles.
Average     Tokobot
As a charming platformer with lots of puzzles, this title is initially very entertaining. Camera and control issues become more obvious as the game proceeds, and the concept looses its lustre as the challenges become more routine.
Average     Twisted Metal: Head On
Fans of the classic driving-battle series will love the solid controls and updated presentation, but after a decade the concept has grown stale.
